September 2020 Bible Reading Plan: VISION BECOMES NOURISHING

This year's Bible reading plans are based on my word of the Year, VISION.

The Vision Keeper: A Journey of Obedient Sight is your reminder that this is more than a plan—it is a call to stay aligned with what God revealed.
This is a step in
the Journey of Obedient Sight—a journey shaped by focus, discipline, and trust.
This is not just a reading rhythm. It is a spiritual assignment.
Vision still speaks. Vision still stands. Vision still stirs.
Stay faithful. Stay focused.
You are a Vision Keeper.

Description:

Vision is not just meant to excite—it is meant to sustain. This month focuses on how God’s vision nourishes your soul and blesses those around you. These Scriptures help you root deeply, give generously, and grow steadily. You are not just carrying vision—you are cultivating life through it.

🤫 Listen in the Silence

There are seasons when the vision seems to go silent. No new instructions. No confirmations. Just stillness. In those moments, it is easy to wonder if you misheard God or if the vision has expired. But silence is not a sign of abandonment. It is often a sign of trust.

God is still speaking—even when it feels like He is not. The vision still breathes, still holds weight, and still carries purpose. You are being invited to believe in what was spoken long after the initial moment passed. That is the depth of obedience—not responding to the noise, but staying faithful to the whisper.

When everything else feels quiet, let that be the moment you lean deeper into what He already said.

The vision still speaks. Let your faith be the echo.

Vision Still Speaks

A Word for the Vision Keeper Walking in Obedient Sight

When God Speaks, Vision Lives

Even when it feels like Heaven is silent—vision still speaks.

For the Vision Keeper, this is not just poetic encouragement. It is a spiritual reality. The vision God gave is not bound by circumstance. It does not fade when emotions do. It is not silenced by delay, disappointment, or distraction.

Vision is more than an idea—it is a divine message.
And when it is written by faith, it continues to speak—even when God seems quiet.

“For still the vision awaits its appointed time… If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.”
(Habakkuk 2:3, ESV)

What Does It Mean for Vision to Speak?

To say “vision still speaks” means:

  • It reminds you of what God said when your memory grows weary.
  • It reaffirms your direction when your heart feels unsure.
  • It rebukes doubt when discouragement whispers, “Maybe you heard wrong.”
  • It realigns your steps when you’re tempted to chase something else.

Even in your stillness, vision is active.
Even when the ink is dry on the page, the assignment breathes.
Even if others have forgotten, the vision echoes.

It does not lose its voice because time has passed.
It still speaks—because it came from God.

The Vision Keeper’s Role

For those walking the Journey of Obedient Sight, this matters deeply.

You are not just someone who received a vision. You are someone entrusted with it.
Your role is not to make the vision louder—it is to make your heart quieter, so you can hear it again.

When the noise of life increases, return to the written Word.
When confusion rises, return to what you recorded in clarity.
When your heart wavers, revisit what was given in the secret place.

“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.”
(John 10:27, ESV)

How to Let the Vision Speak Again

If you feel like the vision has gone quiet:

  • Re-read what you wrote when your faith was stronger.
  • Revisit the Scriptures that stirred you when it was first revealed.
  • Recommit to the last instruction you received.
  • Resist the urge to replace what God gave just because the season shifted.

Vision is not silenced by a hard season.
It is only drowned out by forgetfulness, noise, or neglect.

But when a Vision Keeper remembers… the vision speaks again.

Final Encouragement

Vision still speaks.
Not always loudly. Not always immediately. But faithfully.

It speaks through written pages.
It speaks through weary obedience.
It speaks through a whisper in your spirit when everyone else has forgotten.

So keep your journal open.
Keep your spirit tuned.
Keep your heart obedient.

Because what God said is still alive.

And the Vision Keeper hears what others miss.

Be A Vision Keeper

Journaling is a powerful tool for personal reflection and growth. It helps us process our thoughts, emotions, and experiences, and provides a space for us to connect with our inner selves. The book of Psalms in the Bible is a great resource for daily reflection, as it contains many verses that are inspiring, comforting, and thought-provoking. In this article, we will explore how to journal verses from the book of Psalms to help you with daily reflection.

Benefits of Journaling with the Book of Psalms

Before we dive into the how-to, let's discuss the benefits of journaling with the book of Psalms. First, the Psalms are a great source of comfort and encouragement. They address a wide range of emotions, from joy and gratitude to sadness and despair, and provide words of wisdom and hope. Second, journaling with the Psalms can deepen your spiritual life. The Psalms are full of references to God's character and promises, and can help you develop a closer relationship with Him. Third, journaling with the Psalms can provide clarity and insight into your own life. By reflecting on the verses and applying them to your own experiences, you can gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your situation.

How to Journal with the Book of Psalms

Now, let's get into the practical steps of journaling with the book of Psalms.

Step 1: Choose a Verse

Start by selecting a verse from the book of Psalms that speaks to you. It could be one that relates to your current situation, one that inspires you, or one that you find particularly meaningful.

Step 2: Read and Reflect

Read the verse several times, slowly and thoughtfully. Take some time to reflect on what the verse means to you. What emotions does it evoke? What thoughts or memories does it bring to mind? What questions does it raise?

Step 3: Write

Write down your thoughts and reflections in your journal. You could start by simply writing out the verse, and then expanding on your thoughts from there. You could also use the verse as a prompt and write freely about whatever comes to mind.

Step 4: Apply

Think about how the verse applies to your life. How can you incorporate its message into your daily routine? What changes can you make to align more closely with its meaning?

Step 5: Pray

Finally, take some time to pray. Thank God for the verse and for the insights you've gained from reflecting on it. Ask Him for wisdom and guidance as you seek to apply its message to your life.
