Day 15: High
School
Scripture:
For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in
my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. Psalm 119:13-14
Prayer:
Lord, we thank You for high schools. Thank You that they are places where students
mature as learners. Let these places be
safe for all the students, teachers, and people who may enter it. Fill them with excellent people who will care
for all who enter. Be a fence around the
schools and keep them safe from any harm or danger that may come.
Thank You for high aged students. They are the people that they will be for the
rest of their lives. We pray that You
will protect them as they go wherever they may go. Help them learn to use the foundational tools
that they were taught in elementary and middle school. Any foundational skill they are deficient in,
help them be able to learn that skill as they learn new things. Lead and guide them to the right friends,
friends that will be positive influences on them. Let them be positive influences on others, as
well. Give them boldness to speak up for
those who cannot speak up for themselves in school. Let the words they say be uplifting and hopeful. Give them excellent teachers who will
encourage, inspire, love, correct, and discipline them as they continue to be
lifelong learners. For any that may have
a negative view of school and education, we pray that You place excellent
teachers, students, staff members, administrators, and others in their life to
show them that school is not negative.
And when they have obstacles, negative days, and bad moments, send
someone to them to remind them of the triumphs, positive days, and amazing
moments. Bless them to have an excellent
school year full of fun, learning, and growth.
We pray that their hearts are open to be an excellent student this
year. Thank You. Amen.
