What is the S.A.L.T. Method of Bible study?
This new Bible study method is based off Matthew 5:13:
“You are the salt of the earth, but what good is salt if it has lost its flavor?”
The best way to keep our “salty” flavor is to know God. That's the goal of this method: KNOW GOD.
The S.A.L.T. Method is an acronym to help you easily remember the steps:
S- Supplication
Pray earnestly and humbly. This is a time where you can get real with God. You can tell Him you're disappointed, angry, bitter... He already knows.
A- Absorb
Meditate on the verse or verses; write it out; say it out loud.
L- Learn
Read several verses above and below the one you are focusing on. Putting the verse in context is paramount to understand what God is really trying to say.
What words do you need to look up? What questions do you have that you need to research?
T- Thanksgiving
Thank God for who He is.
(Y)- You
What does this verse look like in your life?
And, that's it. A new Bible study method that’s not only easy to remember but let’s you know God better.

My thoughts: I learned about this method as I began researching various Bible study methods. It was an interesting method that asked you to dig deep as you explored the Word of God. I enjoyed using it and I found it to be an easy way to get into studying the Bible. I use this method for items related to my fiction writing.
