Five Things I Learned about the Armor of God

Paul’s description of the armor of God in Ephesians gave me language for spiritual survival. This is not poetic imagery—it is battle gear. Each piece of armor represents something I need to walk in victory. The belt of truth grounds me. The breastplate of righteousness guards my heart. The shield of faith deflects the lies. The helmet of salvation protects my mind. The sword of the Spirit arms me with the Word. And then Paul went further—adding prayer, perseverance, and supplication as spiritual weapons too. This armor is not decorative—it is necessary. Every day, I have to choose to suit up and stand firm.
