120 Days to Consistent Time with God (Days 81-120)

Prayerfully, you have been successful these past 40 days.  You should have consistency in your life by now. God is faithful in honoring your efforts and blessing you as you continue this effort.

To Continue to Grow…
Again, increase your purposeful time by 5 minutes for the morning and evening sessions.

Secondly, if you have not told your family the quiet place you are using for your quiet time, tell them. A nice way to do it is to say… “When you see me here, please know this is my quiet time with the Lord. I kindly ask not to be disturbed during this time.” Your family will honor this. If you want to, you can invite them to share the time with you.

Lastly, never lose sight of your why—this sacred time is about becoming more consistent in meeting with God, drawing near to Him daily, and letting that relationship shape everything else in your life.

During these 40 days, give your heart permission to show up—read the verses, pray through them, and write them out by hand. You do not have to go deep right now. Let the Word settle. After you write, take a moment to journal a few honest thoughts—what stood out, how you feel, or even what you do not yet understand. This is about creating space, not pressure. God will meet you in the rhythm.

The Process

In the Morning

Start with this affirmation…

I am growing deeper in my walk with God, and each day of faithful devotion strengthens my G.A.M.E. time. (Click here forthe graphic for this affirmation.)

Read the Pocket Prayer:

Read the scripture.

Pray the prayer.

Write out the verse (you can write it on a sticky note and place it in your journal, or you can write it directly in your journal).

(Remember… we are solidifying our routine of spending time with God so that it becomes a part of who we are)

At Night

Start with this affirmation…

My time with God is becoming a steady rhythm in my life, and as I grow, it strengthens me daily. (Click here for thegraphic for this affirmation.)

Read the Pocket Prayer:

Listen to Psalm 1 on this YouTube video.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sF6c2IloNlo

Write your prayer of thanks on the same page as today’s scripture.

This is your time to reflect and give God glory for the growth you are seeing.

Example:

Lord, thank You for helping me show up today. Thank You for reminding me that Jesus sees me and cares for me. I am growing, and I am grateful. My G.A.M.E. Time with You is becoming a part of my daily life, and I thank You for that.

Go Beyond the Basics

Add Bible journaling or SOAP Bible Study to your routine.

Bible Journaling is writing, reflecting, and sometimes decorating Scripture in a journal to help you connect with God’s Word in a personal and creative way.. Click here to learn more.

SOAP Bible Study is a simple way to study Scripture. You can write the Scripture, note your observations, find a personal application, and end with a prayer. Click here to learn more.

As you begin to explore Bible journaling and SOAP study, let this be your prayer—an invitation for God to reveal more as you go deeper in His Word:

“Open my eyes, that I may see wondrous things from Your law.”
Psalm 119:18 (MEV)

You are growing now. There is no need to rush or put pressure on yourself. Just keep showing up. Keep going. Keep building the rhythm. Let God meet you right where you are.

Even on the slow days, trust that your faithfulness is not wasted—God is still working, and He will finish what He started in you:

“Being confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ.”
Philippians 1:6 (MEV)
