Five Things I Learned about the Traits of a Transformed Christian (Philemon)

Philemon may be short, but it reveals a deep truth—transformation is most visible in how we treat people. Paul’s appeal was not rooted in status, power, or law—it was rooted in Christ. He was asking Philemon to respond with compassion, forgiveness, and grace. That is what a transformed heart does. It releases offense. It sees value in others, even when culture or past experience says otherwise. It chooses reconciliation over revenge. These traits are not formed by rules—they are formed by the Holy Spirit. A transformed Christian reflects Jesus not only in worship but also in relationships, especially the hard ones.
