Five Things I Learned from the Book of COLOSSIANS

Colossians brought me back to center. It is one of those letters that reminded me who Jesus is—and who I am because of Him. Paul did not waste time. He made it clear that Jesus is enough. Period. Everything I need is in Him. That gave me peace and focus. The letter challenged me to shift my perspective—to set my mind on things above, not just what is happening around me. That has been hard, especially in a world full of distractions, but Paul made it clear: eternal things matter. I also saw the call to put off the old and step fully into the new. That is not just a one-time thing. It is a daily surrender. And the reminder to stay rooted in Christ? That one stuck. If I am rooted deep, I will not be shaken easy. Colossians helped me see that Jesus should not just influence my relationships—He should lead them. In everything I do, I want Him to be the center.
