Scripture:
“He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and
fear, and put their trust in the Lord.”
— Psalm 40:3
Prayer:
Lord, today we pray for seniors in high school—those entering their twelfth and
final year of this long journey. Let this not just be the end of one chapter,
but the beginning of something sacred and full of possibility. Calm their
nerves as decisions begin to pile up—college, career, finances, and the future.
We
ask for clarity where there is confusion, discipline where there is weariness,
and hope where there is anxiety. Guard them against the temptation to check out
emotionally or academically. Instead, let them press into excellence, growth,
and gratitude for how far You have brought them.
Surround
every senior with encouragement. Let their teachers and mentors speak life. Let
their families support without pressure. And most of all, let them know that no
matter what path they take next, You go before them. Give them the courage to
finish strong—with joy, grace, and praise.
Amen.
Go a Step Further:
If you know a high school senior, send them a quick message of support. Speak
blessings over their final year, and if possible, write them a Scripture or
prayer to carry with them into this pivotal season.
